One Fast Cat – Kickstarter

Op Kickstarter zien we vaak de meest uiteenlopende, creatieve projecten. Sommigen slaan werkelijk nergens op terwijl anderen best eens groot kunnen doorbreken met het crowd-funding platform. Vandaag een project die er volgens ons wel gaat komen. Het project heet ‘One Fast Cat’ en laat jouw huiskat gewoon lekker rondjes lopen in een soort treadmill, net als een hamster inderdaad. Volgens de oprichter krijgen de katten niet genoeg dagelijkse beweging en daar wilde hij verandering inbrengen.

“The most important thing you can do to prevent boredom in your cat is to make sure their environment is stimulating. This means an environment with things to do – windows to look out of, things to watch, places to climb and safe toys to play with,” zegt Farley. “In nature cats would use their energy to hunt. That hunting requires short bursts of energy then they’d spend the rest of the time sleeping and grooming so they’ll be ready for the next hunt (grooming is important so prey won’t smell them coming). Without the need to hunt prey they need other outlets for that pent up energy… That’s why we came up with ‘One Fast Cat’ cat wheel.”
