Altijd al afgevraagd waar oude vliegtuigen heengaan? Neen, de vliegtuigenhemel bestaat niet… tenminste. De laatste rustplaats voor legervliegtuigen, helikopters, raketten en andere luchtvaartuigen is “The Boneyard,” in Tucson, Arizona. Het is ‘s werelds grootste opslagplaats die officieel the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base,  wordt genoemd. Meer dan 4,400 militaristische luchtvaartuigen (U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy-Marine Corps, Coast Guard) en 13 airspace voertuigen (NASA) liggen er opgeslagen.
