Man voert killershark (foto’s)

Je hebt lef én je hebt lef… Deze duiker leek het een uitdaging om killer-sharks te voeren op de Bahamas en zodoende. Fotograaf Daniel Botelho legde het ‘onderonsje’ vast. Het voeren van de haaien had nog wel een achterliggende reden en dat is om shark tourism bekender maken. Ieder jaar worden namelijk duizenden haaien gedood om haaienvinsoep van te maken.

‘The truth is that when 90 per cent of the tiger shark population is gone because of the finning market, tourism will be the only way that will keep sharks alive. I believe that tourism and feeding are not a problem if this is keeping sharks protected from the extinction.’
